Savannah- Earl B. Quarterman, Sr., 55, died Thursday February 7, 2008.
He was a graduate of Tompkins High School, class of 1970 and attended Savannah State College. Mr. Quarterman worked at Continental Can Company as a foreman for 23 years and Imperial Sugar of Port Wentworth, Georgia for 10 years. He attended The Temple of Glory Community Church. His mother, Mrs. Georgia Mae Quarterman preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Polite Quarterman of Savannah; son, Earl B. Quarterman, Jr. of Atlanta; daughter, Akilah Quarterman of Atlanta; father and step-mother, Mr. Alfred Quarterman & Mrs. Catherine Quarterman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Edwards, Jr. of Savannah; brothers, Frank Almeida Quarterman of Daytona, FL, Alfred Wiliane Quarterman, Jr. of Savannah and a multitude of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation: Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple of Glory Community Church, 1105 Stiles Avenue, Savannah, GA 31415, with Bishop Matthew Odum, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery, 1336 Dean Forest Road, Garden City, GA.
